H.H. The 14th Dalai Lama and "Cancel Culture".

The Dalai Lama is a position more than a person and the current Dalai Lama, whose name is Tenzin Gyatso is the 14th reincarnation of the same entity. The Dalai Lama is believed to be a manifestation of Avalokiteshvara, who is the Bodhisattva of Compassion and the patron saint of Tibet. The Gorkhas' own "Nirbhaya".

Tragedy struck the Gorkha community of North Bengal on the 21st of August as a PIG named Mohammad Abbas [ pictured above hiding his face ] brutally murdered a 15 year old Gorkha girl after attempting to rape her. The Gorkha community has been understandably outraged by the incident and have shown solidarity to the victim and her family. Such disgusting and barbaric acts are not common in the peaceful Darjeeling hills and the entire community is shocked as they mourn the loss of an innocent young girl. The PIG is in police custody due to swift action by the police and awaits his punishment, with the entire Gorkha community understandably demanding the death penalty. On the eve of 21st of August, our innocent victim was returning from school. The details of the case still remain fuzzy but it seems that our victim was being catcalled and eve-teased by the PIG as she was trying to rush back home. The Meitei struggles in Manipur, and the delicate situation in the North East.

The Kangleipak State in North East India was established in the 12th Century laying the foundations of what is today Manipur. It came under Burmese control before the British occupied it as a princely state in 1891. After Independence Manipur was declared a union territory in 1956 and a full fledged state in 1972. It has been a major gathering point and crossroads of Asian economy as it connects India and Central Asia to Southeast and East Asian countries. Therefore the culture of the people too is rich as it is influenced by many other communities. The chief community of Manipur are the Meitei people and their language is used as a lingua franca by other tribes such as the Naga and Kuki, who speak Sino-Burmese languages. The Meitei represent almost 53% of the population of the Manipur state and live chiefly in the urban valley of Manipur.
